Suspect caught while attempting to sell narcotics to a police officer in Al Qusais area

Dubai Police arrested a Gulf national during a sting operation when the man tried to sell an undisclosed amount of narcotic pills.

"The suspect was arrested last week during a sting operation in Al Qusais area," said a spokesperson from the General Department of Combating Narcotics at Dubai Police.

The suspect, N.D. was allegedly trying to sell drugs to an undercover police officer prior to being arrested. After a thorough search the police discovered a large amount of money with him which he admitted was the profit from his previous sales.

Further probe

"The suspect admitted that the money with him was the profit of previous sales of narcotic pills that he committed before the arrest. The narcotic pills were sent to Dubai forensics in order to further examine it," said the spokesperson.
