Driver is stabbed in 'road rage' attack.

POLICE closed a street in south Manchester after reports a driver was stabbed in a road rage incident.

Officers were called to 'suspicious circumstances' on Clarence Road, Longsight, at around 12.10pm yesterday.

The road was sealed off in both directions and officers were seen patrolling the area later in the afternoon.

Witnesses said two men were involved in a road rage incident on the street.

It is then believed one of the drivers stabbed the other. Both drove away from the scene.

A resident, who asked not to be named, said: "Police have cordoned off our street and there was a road rage incident between two drivers.

"They have had a scuffle. One of the drivers has been stabbed. They have driven off, police are blocking the road."
