Driver's catnap deal.

A hotel chain is renting out its rooms for half an hour to enable tired motorists to take a catnap. The pounds 5 for 30-minute deal from Travelodge includes coffee to help drivers stay awake when they get back in their vehicle.

Road safety advice says motorists driving long distances on motorways should take a 15minute break every two hours, ideally involving a short sleep and two cups of black coffee.

The 'Catnap and Coffee' deal was available from yesterday at eight Travelodges.

Staff will prevent customers from over-sleeping by giving them a wake-up call at the end of their 30 minutes.
