Drive-by shooting.

A man was seriously wounded in what is believed to have been a drive-by shooting in Birmingham last night.

Gunmen opened fire on the victim from a car in Lones Road, West Bromwich just before 9pm. West Midlands Police refused to reveal details, but said they were 'carrying out investigations' in the area following the incident.

The victim was taken to Sandwell Hospital. A spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance said: 'It looks like it was a drive-by shooting. The person was shot several times and the car then drove off. The hospital was alerted and the patient is believed to have been alive on arrival.'
