Drive flouting the law.

DANGER drivers are still ignoring the law by using mobile phones behind the wheel.

It is two years to the day since chatting or texting while driving became an endorsable offence.

But the Chronicle can reveal that nearly 10 people every day in the North East are still caught breaking the law.

Jeremy Forsberg, from Northumbria Safer Roads Initiative, said today: "Drivers know it's wrong and they know it's illegal, but some continue to put others' lives in danger for their own personal convenience."

Today we bring you a gallery of shame of those still caught dicing with death in recent weeks.
