DreamKeeper Inc. of Maumelle helps protect "buyers securing the biggest investment of their dreams," President Michael J. West said about his home inspection business.
And being one of the largest investments a person can make, a home should thoroughly be inspected for possible problems in the foundation, structure and appliances that could potentially cost thousands of dollars to repair down the road, he said.
West also examines heating and cooling units, attic and crawl spaces, pools, spas and detached buildings on the property for home buyers. Afterward, West prepares a detailed report of any questionable findings and includes photos. He also walks through with his clients--whether buyer or seller--and their agents to describe the damage and posts his findings on his Web site.
Inspections generally last two to three hours, depending on the size of the home, said West's wife, Cindy, who serves as DreamKeeper's marketing director. Cost also depends on the size of the home and the number of buildings on the property.
DreamKeeper Inc. isn't just for those buying a home. Home inspections also save sellers time and money, Cindy West said, because they may identify problems that home owners often don't know they have. And it's good for home owners who simply want to check the status of their home to identify developing problems.
DreamKeeper Inc. is licensed and insured in Arkansas and a member of the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors and other professional organizations.
