Dragonmount Networks has released dIRC 1.2 for Windows, a new Internet relay chat client designed to allow thousands of users to communicate with each other over the web.

Featuring an Office 2000-style interface, the chat program enables users to talk on multiple chat servers at the same time and to establish direct connections with others to transfer files or to chat privately. The program can also be customised by creating new commands and by adding handlers that automatically respond to remote events.

Individual licences of dIRC 1.2 are priced at USD24.95. A fully-featured evaluation version is available at The full dIRC source code is also available for downloading.
