Draft study on Skopje's gasification to be finished in September.

The draft feasibility study on Skopje's gasification is expected to be finished by the end of September, while the complete study on gasification of the whole territory of the country, ordered by the Ministry of Transport and Communications and developed by Toplifikacija inzenering, is expected to be over by March next year.

In the meantime, even without such a study, the municipality of Karpos is working hard on the project of its gasification hoping to connect some buildings on its territory to the gas supply network by the end of the year.

"In 2013 and 2014, the whole network will be complete. Based on costs, the public company Kargas, is going to define the gas price for customers as estimates are that 40-60 percent of the heating costs will be saved," says director Ljupco Dimov.

Introducing gas to a private house is going to cost house owners some 2,000 euros and the same investment in condominiums is 300 euros. In Karpos there is huge interest in gasification as evidenced by the conducted opinion poll in which 88 percent of 22,000 legal and physical entities responded approvingly.
