Dr. Wei Yen to Join MoSys Board of Directors.

SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 4, 2000

Monolithic System Technology, Inc. (MoSys) today announced the appointment of Dr. Wei Yen to the board of directors of MoSys. Dr. Yen brings to MoSys nearly 13 years of experience in high technology companies such as Silicon Graphics, Mips Technologies, ATI Technologies and Navio Communications, which merged with NCI and went public as Liberate Technologies.

From 1988 to 1995, Dr. Yen was a senior vice president at Silicon Graphics, Inc., where he over-saw all five product divisions and two subsidiaries. Dr. Yen was president of Mips Technologies from 1992 to 1993. In 1997, he co-founded ArtX and served as its chairman of the board of directors until 2000, when it was acquired by ATI Technologies. In 1995, he co-founded Navio Communications and served as its chief executive officer until 1997 when it merged with NCI, now known as Liberate Technologies. He currently serves as a director of the Acer Group and ATI Technologies. Dr. Yen earned his Ph.D. in electrical engineering at Purdue University.


MoSys designs, develops, licenses and markets memory technologies used by the semiconductor industry and electronic product manufacturers. Its innovative embedded-memory technology, called 1T-SRAM, offers significant advantages over traditional embedded six-transistor static random access memory in density, power consumption, speed and cost.
