Dr. Katsuhiko Takahashi.

Dr. Katsuhiko Takahashi (photo), a senior advisor to Kumagai Gumi Co. Ltd. since 1985, has been promoted to chairman of KG A & A Corp., its subsidiary and owner of the 1-million square-foot Americas Tower in New York City.

Takahashi brings 30 years of building construction and management experience in Japan and overseas to the KG A & A team. As its chairman, he is responsible for the management and operation of KG A & A Corp., while he continues to provide support to Kumagai Gumi on strategies, policies and other international projects.

With Kumagai Gumi, Takahashi headed the management team of projects such as the London Nomura Building and the 70-story Bank of China Building in Hong Kong, the largest building in Asia.

Takahashi studied architecture at Tokyo University of Arts and completed his post-graduate studies in urban design and technology at Columbia University in New York City.
