Dr. Firdous urges people to play role for promoting civilized society.

ISLAMABAD, September 01, 2011 (Frontier Star): Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan has urged the people to play role for strengthening values of a civilized society. The Information Minister said that the day of Eid was an occasion of happiness for the Muslims all over the world. Talking to Pakistan Television, she said the festival provided an opportunity to all the people living in villages and cities to sit together and share joy and happiness with each other. Dr. Firdous said Eid was an occasion when everyone could play their role for creating a more civilized society. She said Eid was also a time when the new generation could be made familiar with long established traditions. The Information minister said during festivities of Eid feelings of brotherhood and affinity should be aroused especially in the younger generation, who are future of Pakistan.
