Dr. Al Ka\'abi: 2317 palm trees have been given out to citizens as part of \" A Palm Tree for Every Home\" project.

Manama, May 1 (BNA)-- Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Minister Dr. Juma'a bin Ahmed Al Ka'abi stressed the ministry's keenness to support farmers and devote all resources and facilities to achieve sustainable agricultural development.

He added this trend is in line with the government's programme, spearheaded by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and the national plan for sustainable agricultural development which enjoys continuous care and follow-up by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of HM the King.] "The scheme has been translated into a line-up of programmes with 2317 palm trees given out to citizens up to date as part of a programme launched by the ministry under the theme " A Palm Tree for Every Home"," Dr. Al Ka'abi pointed out, adding that the ministry is keen to raise the number of palm trees in residential areas given their cultural and agricultural importance.
