Dr. Abdessalem Mseddi elected member of Scientific Committee of Sultan Qaboos Award for Culture, Arts and Literature.

(TAP) - Tunisian writer and academician Dr. Abdessalem Mseddi was recently elected member of the Scientific Committee of the Sultan Qaboos Award for Culture, Arts and Literature, given annually for five years in the Sultanate of Oman, reported Oman News agency (ONA).

The scientific committee, composed of academicians of Oman, Egypt and Tunisia, aims to define the overall strategy of the Award and ways to promote it, knowing that this annual prize is awarded by the Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture and Science.

Created in 2011, the Sultan Qaboos Award for Culture, Arts and Literature rewards, each year, alternately, Omani or Arab personalities in the worlds of Arab culture, arts and literature.

Dr. Abdessalem Mseddi, Linguistics expert, had won the Sultan Qaboos Award for Culture, Arts and Literature Arabic for 2015.

Former minister and former diplomat, he has written more than thirty books.
