Dr Miriam: I'M NOT UP TO SCRATCH.

Byline: Dr Miriam Stoppard

Dear Miriam I'VE met the most incredible woman and want to see more of her. But there's an obstacle - I'm allergic to her cat.

I had a sneezing fit when she invited me back to her flat. The cat also scratched me and, to be honest, I've never liked cats anyway.

It's a year old and I doubt she'd never give it up for me.

IT'S unlikely. A I survey by the Cats Protection League found 90 per cent of single women thought men who like cats are nicer, more caring and sensitive than those who don't.

If your allergy is bad, do you really want to live with constant discomfort? Then there's her notion of love me, love my cat. If that's too much to ask, it may be best to move on.
