Dozens of Saudi flights delayed after tech glitch.
English language newspaper Arab News said that an outage in the IT network that runs Jeddah's King Abdulaziz International Airport and Riyadh's King Khaled International Airport's immigration systems saw a number of international flights delayed.
"The departure of dozens of international flights from Riyadh and Jeddah international airports was delayed by several hours following the problem in the computer network of the immigration counters yesterday," airport sources and airlines managers told the paper.
Oil-rich Saudi Arabia is currently in the midst of investing SAR200bn (US$53.33bn) into renovating and upgrading its airports and aviation sector.
