Dovecote Nursery opens in Shatti.

Dovecote Nursery Muscat was officially opened by H H Hujaija al Said at a ceremony held in the school located in the Diplomatic Quarter of Shatti al Qurm last week.

Dovecote is a part of the Repton Group, which has been operational in Dubai. The new nursery will follow the British system - Early Years Foundation Stage 0 to 5 and the English National Curriculum. This is the first among more branches planned in the city.

Children of all nationalities are welcome in Dovecote Nursery where multi-lingual staff selected for their British teaching background will prepare them for their early school years by transforming them into confident and independent pupils. "We have a broad mix of students of different nationalities in the nursery which gives a great international feel and allows the children to benefit from their different backgrounds," said Helen Cairns, nursery manager, at the opening ceremony.

The nursery is a partnership between Evolvence Knowledge Investments and Al Khonji Group in Muscat. Ahmed al Khonji, director of the group and an active member of the Dovecote team, was also present on the occasion to meet parents and visitors. "We are very excited to open this nursery and proud to show so many parents and visitors around our facility. We look forward to going from strength to strength." Ahmed said.

Helen also took the guests around the premises which has classrooms, play areas, a clinic, a kitchen to provide fresh, healthy snacks and outdoor areas for interaction and games. Children enrolled will be provided a balance of classroom-based learning, outdoor activities and creative playtime, she informed. The nursery will offer a choice of part-time or full-time education, wherein parents can choose the number of days their children attend the nursery.
