Doug back for second term.

THE chairman of the West Midlands Ambulance Service has been reappointed for a second term.

Doug Jinks, a former businessman, was recently approved by the NHS Appointments Commission to take on a further four-year stint from November.

Mr Jinks was first appointed chairman of the service in 1999.

He will receive a payment of pounds 16,000 for the position.

At the same time, the NHS Appointments Commission also reappointed Cllr Geoffrey Taylor and Dr Elizabeth Hensel as non-executive directors until 2007.
