Book publishers Doubleday will release Origin, a new Dan Brown title featuring Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon, in 2017, book trade magazine Publishers Weekly revealed on Friday.
The novel will be published by Doubleday as a hardcover in the US and Canada on 26 September 2017. Origin will be available as an e-book and audiobook from Penguin Random House Audio.
Also, Publishers Weekly reported that Transworld Publishers will publish the novel simultaneously in the UK, while Vintage Espanol will publish a US Spanish language edition.
Brown's previous Robert Langdon novels include Inferno, Angels & Demons and The Da Vinci Code, which have all achieved international bestselling status and there are said to be over 200 million copies of Brown's books in print worldwide.
Publishers Weekly reported that Doubleday said Origin will feature the signature themes from Brown's series, including symbology, science, religion, history, art and architecture. The book follows Langdon "into the dangerous intersection of humankind's two most enduring questions, and the earth-shaking discovery that will answer them."
