Double delight for charity.

A CHARITY that helps animals in need has thanked supporters for donating more than PS1,000.

New Arc Animal Sanctuary in Ellon depends on donations from members of the public and those in charge say they are delighted with the two latest donations.

Keith Marley, head of charity, said: "I would like to say a huge thanks to all those who took part in this year's Aberdeen Kiltwalk on June 2. We have just received notification we have received a whopping PS943.53 - how fantastic. Thank you all so much.

"The second - and another absolutely stunning fundraising amount - is for PS430 raised at the Companion Dog Show. It took place in Bellfield Park on July 27.

"We are extremely grateful and hope all competitors had a great day. We would have loved to attend but sadly we just had too many baby mouths to feed to get away."
