Donors, celebrities attend premiere of Green and Gold: a Half-Century of USF.

On the evening of March 29, you didn't have to be in Hollywood to attend an exciting premiere. You just had to be at the WUSF studios on the USF campus. WUSF Cornerstone Society donors, staff members, University dignitaries and local celebrities attended a private screening of the hour-long program Green and Gold: A Half-Century of USF.

University of South Florida President Judy Genshaft and WUSF General Manager JoAnn Urofsky welcomed attendees at the reception. Following the viewing, there was a Q & A session with Martha Bone, the writer/producer of the anniversary show.

The program showcases the history of the University through interviews with individuals who made significant contributions through the years, including former USF President Betty Castor, former Florida House Speaker Terrell Sessums and Tampa Mayor Pam Iorio. The show aired on WUSF-TV for the first time in April.

DVDs of the 50th anniversary show are available though WUSF for only $19.99. You can also buy it as part of a package that includes a commemorative pictorial coffee-table book, too. To order or for more information, visit
