Don't preach to job hunters; Letters.

PHYLISS Bembridge (Letters, May 14) starts off with a story of success and ends up with "Get on your bike, as the jobs and opportunities are there for those willing to look."

Will someone please tell my 20-year-old granddaughter where those jobs are? This poor girl has applied for more jobs than I've had hot dinners. She's had plenty of interviews and is told they will let her know; some do, some don't even bother to reply.

Her CV is very good. She went to a men's clothing shop for a job for which 300 applied which was rounded down to seven. She was one of the seven but didn't get it.

So please don't try to preach to these young people that jobs are there for those willing to look.
