Don't panic say police after latest shooting.

POLICE today appealed for calm after bullets were fired through the window of a house in Liverpool.

The attack was in Princes Avenue, Toxteth, at 9.15pm yesterday in the latest in a series of shootings in the neighbourhood over recent weeks.

Nobody was hurt and officers were today examining the scene.

A police spokeswoman said the shooting, the third gun attack in Toxteth in three weeks, had no obvious motive.

She urged people not to worry and said patrols would be stepped up. Police are carrying out door-to-door inquiries.

The spokeswoman added: ``We are investigating whether is may be linked to any previous incidents.''

Witnesses should phone police on 0151 777 5364 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
