Don't let historic inn become new flats; Letters.

I SUPPORT your campaign to halt the decline in Coventry pubs. I do so because my local, Malt Shovel in Spon d closed last July nd remains closed. Worryingly we have heard that the new owner of the property wants to onvert it into flats. It has a rich history nd locals believe it be haunted by a simn character called Duckfat Bradshaw who was wrongly convicted of a murder in the Malt Shovel and was hanged for it on Whitley Common. The Malt Shovel has been a pub or inn for 400 years and it must be brought back to life as a pub.
