Domino's Gets a Slice of the Action with Zeus.

Domino's Pizza Partners with Zeus Technology as Demand for Online Orders Rise

CAMBRIDGE, England -- Domino's Pizza, the world's leading pizza delivery company, is working with Zeus Technology - the only software-based application traffic management vendor - to boost its online sales. The company is using Zeus' ZXTM solution across its site to ensure customers placing orders online receive outstanding service and consistent availability, even during peak periods.

Domino's Pizza turned to support from Zeus after an increase in traffic following successful online marketing campaigns. Zeus' application traffic management and acceleration solution was deployed in a matter of hours to provide customers with a reliable and secure environment to order their pizzas online.

Online purchases at Domino's Pizza now account for around a quarter of all home delivery sales. Avoiding downtime and offering customers excellent service is therefore crucial if the company is to make the most of the online boom. In 1999, Domino's Pizza became the first pizza delivery company in the world to offer nationwide internet ordering. Since then, the company has experienced a steady year on year increase in the number of people ordering online.

Phil Thompson, IT Infrastructure Manager, Domino's Pizza said: "The success of our franchises hinge on offering customers the very best level of service whether that be in-store, over the telephone or online. Many of our customers prefer ordering online and will spend on average 20 per cent more than they would in-store, so having the technology in place to deliver a consistent level of service is hugely important."

Paul Brennan, CEO, Zeus Technology commented: "In these tough trading conditions it's critical all retailers have reliable and flexible technology in place so customers receive the levels of service they expect. People won't think twice about buying from a competitor if they experience downtime or slow service, so investing in software solutions that can manage peaks in traffic should become a top priority."
