Dominion Textile posts sales.

Dominion Textile, Montreal, Quebec, Canada, the 19th largest roll goods producer in the world, posted results for the second quarter of 1993. For the period ending December 31, 1992, the company reported sales of $336.2 million, up slightly from the previous year's $331.7 million. However, if businesses closed or sold in fiscal 1992 are excluded for a more direct comparison, sales are up 14%. Net income of $6.4 million was reported, in contrast to the loss of $6.6 million last year.

Figures covering the first six months of fiscal 1993 were also reported. Consolidated sales of $630.9 million versus $651.8 last year were reported, although with direct comparisons, sales increased 11%. Net income for the period was $10.0 million as compared to a loss of $19.1 million a year ago.
