The Dominican Republic has said that it is planning to sell benchmark bonds overseas.

The republic is planning to sell dollar bonds in its first international dollar offering in more than three years, and has hired Barclays Plc (LSE:BARC) and Citigroup, Inc (NYSE: C) to arrange the offering. It is expected to meet with bond investors on April 23.

Analysts are expecting the bonds to be well received by the market.
