Dollar moves around 98 yen early in Tokyo.

TOKYO, July 31 Kyodo

The U.S. dollar moved around the 98 yen line early Wednesday morning in Tokyo, sustaining its level seen overnight in New York.

At 9 a.m., the dollar fetched 97.99-98.07 yen compared with 98.00-10 yen in New York and 98.15-17 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

The euro was quoted at $1.3266-3271 and 130.00-03 yen against $1.3257-3267 and 130.07-17 yen in New York and $1.3270-3271 and 130.25-29 yen in Tokyo late Tuesday afternoon.

Players refrained from actively trading currencies Tuesday in New York before seeing Wednesday's outcome of the U.S. Federal Open Market Committee meeting.
