Dolan Media (Minneapolis, MN) had second quarter, ending June 30, 2009, revenue of $67 million, an increase of 61.3% over the $41.6 million reported in the same period last year. Operating income more than doubled to $16.3 million with cash earnings up 102.1 percent, going from $5.5 million in the 2008 period to $11.2 million this year. Almost all of the increase came from the company's Professional Services divison, comprised on NDeX and Counsel Press, where revenue rose 144.3% to $44.3 million. NDeX is a provider of mortgage default processing services and Counsel Press is the nation's largest provider of appellate services to the legal community. The company's Business Information division, comprised of business journals, court and commercial media, and related information products, services, web sites and events, had revenue of $22.7 million, a decease of 2.9% from the $23.4 million reported in the same period in 2008.
