Doha to host exhibition of Omani products in Nov.



QATAR Chamber on Wednesday organised a press conference to announce that Omani products exhibition will be in Doha from November 10 to November 13 this year.

The press conference addressed by Qatar Chamber Board Member. Mohammed bin Ahmed al Obaidli, Plenipotentiary and Charge d'Affaires at the Omani Embassy in Doha Salem bin Abdullah al Alawi, Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vice-Chairman of Ayman Abdullah al Hassani.

All the speakers shed light on the objectives of the exhibition and industrial sectors which will take part in it.

Speaking on the occasion, Obaidli said, "Qatar hosts a lot of important exhibitions and events in order to open channels of communication with other countries and promote their products in the Qatari market. Omani exhibition will be a good opportunity for Qatar's business community to find out what Oman has achieved in various industries. It will be also a great platform for exchange of experiences between the two countries." Hassani said, "Oman has close bilateral relations with Qatar. There is a solid foundation based upon economic and trade relations between the two countries. There is an accelerated growth in various sectors of Qatar. Qatar and other GCC countries need to diversify their economies. We need to increase the volume of non-oil exports to improve the balance of trade. Through initiatives and events organised by relevant institutions, Oman aims to market its product other countries.

Organisation of this exhibition is one of the most important opportunities for Omani companies to establish a national strategy for the benefit of both the countries." The four-day exhibition will be organised on an area of 2500 square meter with more than 100 companies taking part in it. These companies will represent various sectors including food, building products, medical equipments, dairy products, furniture, fiber optic, copper products, textiles, batteries, packaging materials and others.

This exhibition aims to introduce the Qatari community with products that Oman produces outside the oil sector and the exchange of experiences between the two sides. The exhibition will be organised Oman International Trade and Exhibitions.
