Doha Bank, a private commercial bank in Qatar, has announced the 11th edition of its Al Dana Green Run.

The bank said that the event will take place on January 16 at the Aspire Zone. The three kilometre run is organised by the bank with the aim of enhancing environmental awareness and promoting a healthier lifestyle among members of the local community.

Dr R Seetharaman, CEO of Doha Bank, said, 'As the longest running and most successful community run in Qatar, Al Dana Green Run has evolved into a must-do fixture that families and individuals all across the city have developed an emotional connect with and look forward eagerly to each year. This annual event contributes to the overarching objectives of Qatar's national campaign 'Go Green Qatar' and reinforces Doha Bank's commitment to advance the development of a sustainable green economy through organising sports events and social programs that play an instrumental role in reaching out to various communities in Qatar.'
