Dogfish Head launches new Worldwide Stout.

The Dogfish Head Brewery of Lewes, DE, recently launched the latest generation of its Worldwide Stout.

In keeping with the Dogfish Head tradition of November 1st release each year, Worldwide Stout 2003 debuted at the recent Blind Tiger Ale House's VSK (Very Special Keg) Event in Manhattan.

On hand for the festivities was Dogfish Head Brewery President Sam Calagione along with representatives from Boening Brothers, Inc. (North Lindenhurst, NY) and Oak Beverages, Inc. (Blauvelt, NY), New York-Metropolitan beer wholesale distributors, who are marketing Dogfish Head's line of craft brewed ales through Nassau and Suffolk County on Long Island, the Five Boroughs of Manhattan, Orange County, Rockland County, Westchester County, Putnam County, Dutchess County, Sullivan County and Ulster County, New York.

Worldwide Stout 2003 is fermented with a unique blend of six different yeast strains, brewed over seven months and then aged for half a year.

Drinkers who sampled the stout at the event said it was "dark and roasty" and effusively praised its "rich and complex" character and "awesome flavor."

Dogfish Head's Worldwide Stout 2003 will be offered in 12 oz. bottles for a very limited time.
