Dog owners found guilty over killing.

A US LAWYER whose dogs mauled a neighbour to death was tonight facing life in jail after being found guilty of second-degree murder.

Marjorie Knoller, 46, from San Francisco, fought back tears as the Los Angeles court also convicted her and her husband Robert Noel of involuntary manslaughter and keeping a mischievous animal that killed.

The couple's two huge Presa Canarios savaged sports coach Diane Whipple, 33, outside her flat in January last year. Ms Whipple bled to death after having had most of her throat ripped out.
