Dog Racing: Pricewise tables; ODDS AND DOGS.
GIVEN the variations in individual firms' eachway betting, Pricewise tables that feature in the greyhound section of Racing Post generally carry an 'each-way terms vary' footnote. The table below broadly outlines each of our featured firms' terms, as well as their rules for nonrunners when it comes to 'ante-post' and 'day of the race' contests. Coral, Hills and VCbet's eachway terms in competitions of less that 24 runners varies dependant on the price of the favourite. For instance, in a 12-runner event, Hills will offer 1/3 the odds a place 1,2 if the favourite is odds-on and likewise 1/5 the odds 1,2,3 in an 18-runner competition. Only Blue Square operate a Rule 4 - i.e. deductions from returns determined by the price of a non-runner - on day of the race markets, the rest revert all bets to Starting Price.
