Does this suit me? ask mums.

WEST Midlands women care more about what their daughters think about their fashion sense, rather than their partners.

More than half - 56 per cent - of Midland mums surveyed by online fashion retailer Gray and Osbourn said they trusted their daughters' opinion above all others.

Only five per cent value their son's opinion of how they look, while only eight per cent of women over 50 trust their partner's opinion.

However, the trust is not reciprocated as 50 per cent of daughters would not want their mums to buy them clothes in their absence.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Janet Ellis were named as the favourite celebrity motherdaughter pairing.
