Doctor: Trump Dictated Letter Claiming He'd Be Healthiest President Ever.
Summary: TEHRAN (FNA)- US President Donald Trump's former personal doctor Harold Bornstein said that Trump dictated the 2015 letter he wrote praising the then-Republican presidential nominee's good health.
"He dictated that whole letter. I didn't write that letter," Dr. Bornstein told CNN on Tuesday, adding that "I just made it up as I went along".
Dr. Bornstein wrote in December 2015 that Trump's medical examination "showed only positive results".
"His physical strength and stamina are extraordinary," the letter, which Bornstein had previously said he wrote himself, read.
"If elected, Mr. Trump, I can state unequivocally, will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency," it added.
But now Bornstein says that Trump had dictated the language of the letter to him.
"[Trump] dictated the letter and I would tell him what he couldn't put in there," he stated, underlining that "They came to pick up their letter at 4 o'clock or something".
"That's black humor, that letter. That's my sense of humor," Bornstein stressed, adding that "It's like the movie 'Fargo': It takes the truth and moves it in a different direction."
Earlier this year, Trump called himself a "very stable genius", and slammed reports suggesting the US President is not mentally fit for office.
He launched the remarkable defense of his mental stability in a series of tweets following the publication of Michael Wolff's bombshell book "Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House" about his first year in office which has revealed that "one hundred percent" of those around the US President consider him "moron, idiot".
Questions surrounding Trump's mental health have emerged around the release of Wolff's explosive book.
Trump has become famous for making controversial, outrageous remarks in different fields such as race, religion ethnicity or place or country of origin.
His controversial comments prompted some House Democrats in January to introduce a bill, known as the "Stable Genius Act" that would require presidential candidates to take a mental health exam.
