Do you know young sleuths?

POLICE in Cardiff are trying to track down three young sleuths who helped catch a suspected criminal.

The two boys and a girl were playing in nearby allotments at Llanishen at around 5pm on Thursday when an attempted theft of railway cable was reported.

They pointed out the alleged suspect and discarded clothing to police officers before leaving on their scooters.

Pc Neil Hicks said: "The children were most helpful and we would like to thank them properly.

"I would ask their parents to contact us."

Anyone with information is asked to contact Pc Hicks 4369 on e-mail at nick.hicks@south-wales.pnn.police.uk or contact South Wales Police on 101.

A 33-year-old man was arrested and bailed pending further inquiries.
