NAB invited to probe matter of illegal sale -- AB invited to probe matter of illegal sale, allotment of quarters of PandT Colony

KARACHI: The Senate Standing Committee on Postal Services on Tuesday called the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) officials for conducting an investigation regarding illegal sale/unauthorized allotment and occupation of Post and Telegraph (PandT) Colony quarters.

In a meeting held here at the office of Post Master General chaired by Senator Khushbakht Shujaat, the committee formed a sub-committee tasked to review the matter. The meeting was briefed by Ministry of Postal Services Secretary Pir Bakhsh Khan Jamali about the issue and steps taken so far. Chairperson of the committee Senator Khushbakht Shujaat talking to media after the meeting said that detailed a report has been sought about the issues and suggestions from the Pakistan Post. She said the next meeting would focus on the prospective reforms to strengthen the operations of Pakistan Post.
