Do good and feel good... Welcome to the weekend!

Byline: Adrian Monti; Judy Yorke

If doing something different as well as getting yourself fit are among your New Year resolutions, why not do a bit of environmental volunteering? The BTCV - formerly the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers - last year welcomed 500,000 people to help with its various projects.

The charity organises a huge variety of tasks across the UK that you can get involved into learn new skills, meet different people and do your bit for the countryside, too.

It's free to take part, so visit www.btcv.org.uk to view its volunteering map and find the project that's right for you.
