Do as I say..? Your Say.

I WAS interested in the new rules relating to the partaking of alcohol introduced for their employees by Stockton Council.

I trust that the councillors who voted for it apply the stipulations to their own behaviour and do not follow the principle of do what I say not as I do.

There is a relationship between alcohol and performance, but I wonder how much the officer who suggested the stipulations has relied on empirical research? It is not a bad thing for experiments to be done on how employees behave in their leisure hours and their performance on the job. GEOFFREY BULMER, Billingham
