Djerba welcomes candidates for "Super Mamie France 2017".

(TAP) - Candidates for the "Super Mamie France 2017" contest have been staying in one of the prestigious hotels on the island of Djerba since September 3.

This stay was programmed by Fabienne Ollier, chairman of the organising committee of the contest, in partnership with Rene Trabelsi, head of Royal First Travel.

The competition aims to honour and reward exceptional grandmothers who are extremely dynamic and distinguished by their investment in volunteerism and humanitarian actions.

The name of the winner of this contest, which has reached its 8th edition, will be unveiled this evening at a ceremony, in the presence of a group of supporters composed of more than 150 guests and relatives to accompany and encourage the French "Super Mamies".

Rene Trabelsi said this event represents an opportunity to boost tourism activity in the island of Djerba and revive the French market.
