Divine law. (Letters to the Editor).

You published a very good interview with Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore ("Defender of the Decalogue," December 16, 2002 issue). I very much respect his persistence and chivalry for standing up against the forces of this world. However, in the article it mentions that "divine law is a direct part of the law of nature." I would have to disagree with that proposition on the basis that all laws originate from divine law. The laws of nature are subject to the divine law of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of the Scriptures. All of what we recognize as "laws" stem from His words and His will. These words and His will are the divine law.
