Diversions as road closed near centre; NEWS BRIEFING DRIVING.

People visiting a leisure centre in Wolverhampton will face diversions due to a road being closed for a month.

Aldersley Road will be closed in both directions, from Lower Street to Crane Terrace, due to a water main being replaced. It means customers to WV Active Aldersley will be forced to take a diversion from today until June 7. Motorists have to go via Lower Street and Lowlands Avenue which leads to back onto Aldersley Road to reach the centre.

A spokesman for WV Active Aldersley said: "WV Active customers will still be able to access the centre from this direction by following the diversion. We apologise for any inconvenience caused."
