District search for top athletes.

ATHLETES are needed for the Greater Warwickshire Youth Games.

Trials to select teams to represent Warwick district in the games in athletics, girls football, girls basketball and boys and girls hockey will be held in the near future.

In addition, girls from school years eight and nine willing to take place in tag rugby are needed, with training sessions taking place on Sunday mornings from June 3 at Old Leamington RFC on Bericote Road.

The games take place at the University of Warwick on July 7 with Warwick competing against teams from Stratford, Solihull, Nuneaton and Bedworth, Coventry, North Warwickshire and Rugby.

Teams for netball, boys basketball and tennis have already been chosen.
