EASTHAM: There will be a family bike ride at Eastham Rake train station on Sunday, from 2pm-4pm. A free bike safety check is available at 1.30pm. Under 14s must be accompanied by an adult, and preferably under sixes are best on a tag along or seat. Email or call 0151-606 2368.

BIRKENHEAD: The Birkenhead Group of the Family History Society of Cheshire meets on Tuesday, June 26, for a walk around Birkenhead Park to celebrate the park's 160th anniversary. Meet at the new Park Pavilion at 2pm.

BIRKENHEAD: Children travelling with teddy bears will get a free ride on a vintage tram as part of the Merseyside Tramway Preservation Society's family fun day on Saturday. It starts at the tram stop at Woodside Ferry terminal and costs pounds 1.60 for adults. For more information call 0151-647 2128.

BIRKENHEAD: An end of year show by Wirral Met arts students is on at Twelve Quays Campus, Shore Road, Morpeth Dock, Birkenhead, 1pm to 4pm, until Friday.

WIRRAL: The 31st annual Wirral Show will be held on July 14 and 15 at New Brighton Promenade.

WEST KIRBY: Environmental activist Patrick Cleary will discuss global warming and the end of cheap oil at a talk in St Agnes Church Hall. The economist will be appearing at the Darmonds Green church on June 25. The free event opens with refreshments at 7pm.
