District III report.

District III met on April 17, 2007 in Rutland. This was the day after the record breaking wind storm in Rutland that left many of the district members without power. Many thanks to Mary Val Palumbo for her very interesting presentation, "Hot Topics in Practice: Our Aging Workforce. She also reported on Tai Chi for the Older Nurse: A Workplace Wellness Trial pilot study at FAHC.

Kathy Felder, District III Director, reported on the priorities for the, VSNA that were formed at the Board of Directors Retreat held in January.

We also had informal discussion for ideas on getting more members engaged and involved in the district activities. We would like to have a get together at the end of the summer, perhaps a picnic, and hear what role you feel the VSNA should meet in your professional life.
