Dishonours list; VOICE OF THE.

STUFFING the honours list with Tory cronies, donors and Whitehall timeservers is an insult to those ordinary people who earned recognition with their extraordinary service.

If this Prime Minister, like those before him and alas probably future Prime Ministers, wishes to hand out baubles to political fixers and financiers, let him do it at his own expense. Because the backslapping Chumocracy operated by an Establishment that awards itself titles and gongs is a Ruritanian pantomime which should have been wrapped up years ago.

So we congratulate the many who have rightly been honoured. But we also regret the continued showering of honours on undeserving stuffed shirts who should be ashamed at the political corruption involved.
