Discover downtown Sarasota.

One of the prettiest downtowns in the country, and also one of the most progressive.

When you move your business to downtown Sarasota, you're moving into a progressive, appealing center that's becoming a model for the nation's "new downtowns." Thanks to a dynamic, ongoing partnership between private businesses, cultural groups and local committed government, downtown has seen an explosion of new building, infrastructure improvements and increased public use in recent years.

Headquarters for city and county government, downtown Sarasota is also a regional financial hub for major financial institutions and corporations. It's also an immensely human place, with blooming trees, bright tropical flowers, a big waterfront park and other parks and public spaces. The officially designated "theater and arts" district, it's home to many performing arts groups, the site of various arts and community festivals, and stays lively until late into the night. Superior restaurants, a unique collection of antique and specialty stores and pretty historic renovations and homes all add to its charms. Add in Sarasota Bay, with its ever-changing view of sailboats, seabirds and blue water refreshing passers-by and office workers, and it's no wonder that so many businesses locate their headquarters here.

Downtown offers a variety of Class-A office buildings with a full range of services and amenities. And there's also a number of new projects coming down the pike. Just some of the action: a new 305-room Marriott Hotel; a completely redesigned and improved Bayfront Park; a new marina with cafes and shops; another performing arts facility; a brand-new library; and International Youth Cup Soccer is relocating here from Miami.

Take a stroll or a ride through downtown Sarasota and discover for yourself why companies love doing business here.
