Disabled athletes have new contact.

DISABLED people in Nuneaton and Bedworth now have someone to champion their cause in the name of sport.

Mandy Stevens, who has worked in sports development at the Nuneaton and Bedworth Leisure Trust for three years, has been appointed the trust's disability inclusion officer.

Mandy said: "We are looking to increase the amount of sporting opportunities for disabled children and adults in Nuneaton and Bedworth.

"I am always willing to meet with groups, and I am open to new ideas and suggestions from members of the community."

Jenny Cottrell and Leron Barker have also been appointed as community disability sports coaches to assist Mandy in the running of schemes and sessions in and around the Nuneaton and Bedworth area.
