Dirty nappies a no-no for dads.

ONE in five dads don't change a baby's nappy or have anything to do with pee and poo, says a study.

Researchers found many dads spent less than an hour with their kids each day - and want to play instead of getting their hands dirty.

And two-thirds feel washing and changing the kids should be done before they get home from work, leaving them "quality time".

A survey of almost 2000 mums also found 13 per cent of dads refused to be at the birth.

Sam Willoughby of kids activities website www.whatson4littleones.co.uk, who carried out the poll, said: "While this news is shocking, it remains a fact that for the first few months mum will be home alone with the baby while dad works long hours.

"We know a lot of dads take on their share of the childcare jobs, but they are in the difficult position of having to balance this with being the main breadwinner."
