Dirt deal. (Whispers).

A 300-acre purchase in west Pulaski County added up to a near $1.2 million deal (about $4,000 per acre).

Alotian Club LLC, led by Warren Stephens, acquired the farmland east of Highway 300 between Roland and Natural Steps.

The limited liability company purchased the property from Joe Doerpinghaus through West Little Rock Trucking Inc.

We're told the land will supply topsoil for the new golf club Stephens is developing on the south side of Hwy. 10 near Maumelle Harbor.

You might recall that the golf course project was officially launched last year m a near $2.2 million deal involving 875 acres.
